What Muslims Believe

Muslim belief is centered on God, revelation, moral responsibility, and hope in God's mercy.

For visitors

A welcoming place to learn

These pages are written for neighbors, guests, students, coworkers, and anyone curious about what Muslims believe and how a masjid serves the community.

The Six Articles of Faith

Muslims believe in Allah, His angels, His revealed books, His messengers, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree. These beliefs help Muslims understand life as purposeful and accountable.

Jesus in Islam

Muslims love and honor Jesus, peace be upon him, as one of the greatest prophets and the Messiah. Muslims believe he was born miraculously to Mary and called people to worship God.

Faith and Action

Belief is meant to produce humility, worship, good character, charity, family responsibility, and care for the vulnerable.

Belief Begins With Trust in God

Faith in Islam is not only agreeing with ideas. It is trust in God, love for what is good, and willingness to live with accountability. Muslims believe the heart, speech, and actions are connected, so belief should slowly become visible through character.

The Day of Judgment

Muslims believe every person will return to God and be held accountable. This belief gives moral weight to private choices and public actions. It also gives hope that injustice, suffering, and sacrifice are not forgotten by the One who sees everything.

The Role of Prophets

Prophets are not seen as competitors with one another. Muslims believe they are part of one chain of guidance from God. Their stories teach courage, repentance, patience, trust, and the struggle to remain faithful in difficult societies.

God

One Creator, merciful and just.

Prophets

A shared chain of guidance through history.

Accountability

Life matters, choices matter, and mercy is real.
